Autumn Holiday at Sommerlunden
Enjoy a family autumn holiday with sand sculptures, treasure hunts, creative workshops, pumpkin carving, campfire bread and evening lights.
From 10 to 17 October 2026, Sommerlunden offers autumn activities for the whole family. See the large sand sculptures featuring scenes from Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales, follow a treasure hunt, solve Eventyrmysteriet and get creative in the autumn and woodcarving workshops.
Autumn activities for the whole family
During the holiday, you can carve pumpkins, bake free twisted bread over the fire and toast marshmallows. On Tuesday and Thursday, the sand sculptures are illuminated after dark. Bring a torch and explore the dark Tropical House.
Food and hot drinks in the café
The café serves pumpkin soup, toast, autumn cakes, hot apple juice, cocoa and Irish coffee, among other options.
Opening hours
Sommerlunden is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm. On Tuesday and Thursday, opening hours are extended until 8 pm.
