Autumn break at Sommerlunden

The workshop is part of the autumn break activities at Sommerlunden from October 10–17, 2026. You can also go on a treasure hunt, solve riddles, carve pumpkins and visit the creative autumn workshop. Free bread to bake on sticks and marshmallows are available by the campfire, while Drivhuscaféen serves soup, toasted sandwiches, autumn cakes and hot drinks.

Autumn break is also your last chance to see this year's large sand sculptures depicting H.C. Andersen's fairy tales. On Tuesday and Thursday, Sommerlunden stays open until 8 p.m., with illuminated sand sculptures and a flashlight hunt in the darkened Tropehus. There are no butterflies in Tropehuset during autumn break.

Sommerlunden is open daily during autumn break from 10 a.m.–5 p.m., except Tuesday and Thursday, when it is open from 10 a.m.–8 p.m. These are the venue's opening hours; the wooden spoon carving workshop takes place only on Monday, October 12, from approximately 2–4 p.m.
