Join a community day in Salen at Rønne Bibliotek on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The day features literary talks, emergency radios, a drawing workshop, group singing, readings and discussions about experiences of past power outages and crises on Bornholm.

Explore stands featuring #forbudtebøger, Ø-arkivet and associations and adult education centers presenting activities ranging from fermentation to raku. The day is part of the public libraries' and DR's national campaign, “Sammen om beredskab”.

Arkivet for Håb & Glæde

Arkivet for Håb & Glæde will be launched on the day. The ambition is to create a flexible repository that can function without electricity or internet access, strengthen communities and later be placed at locations around the island as a “cultural emergency generator”.
