With guidance, you will have the chance to carry a bird of prey on your arm and experience it landing on your glove. Both children and adults can take part without any prior experience.
Get up close to the birds of prey at Bornholms Rovfugleshow – Dyrenes Oase. This guided experience gives you an insight into the falconer's work and the chance to carry a bird of prey on your arm and try flying the birds yourself. The experience is for both children and adults, and no experience with birds of prey is needed.

Introduction to the birds of prey
The experience begins with an introduction to birds of prey and falconry. You will learn about the birds' senses, their natural behavior, and the partnership between bird and falconer.
Behind the scenes
Go behind the scenes to learn about the birds' daily lives, their training, and the work involved in developing close contact between people and birds of prey.
Walking and flying a bird of prey
Under the falconer's guidance, you will have the chance to carry a bird of prey on your arm and try flying the birds, experiencing a bird of prey landing on your glove. The experience also includes close encounters with the venue's reptiles.
Practical information
- Duration: approximately 1 hour.
- For both children and adults. No experience needed.
- Price: DKK 1,050 for up to 4 people.
- Additional participants: DKK 175 per person beyond the first 4.
- The experience must be booked in advance.
