Route description
From Svaneke you ride to the fishing village of Listed. Just west of the town you pass a collection of standing stones called “The Holy Woman and Her Bell.” Legend has it that the holy woman turned her children into stone to prevent them from being killed. Ride through Bølshavn and climb the infamous Ypnastedbakke before cycling on towards Randkløve Skår, a dramatic 50-meter long and 3-meter wide rift valley.
From here the ride goes inland to Østermarie. From Lyrsbyvej you can make a detour to Louisenlund, a mysterious and beautiful collection of 50 standing stones. Continue to Ibsker and cycle down to the fishing village of Aarsdale with a smokehouse and lively harbor. From here the trip goes back along the coast to Svaneke.
