What is it like to live in a country in the shadow of an aggressive Russia?

Baltisk Bro invites you to an open members’ meeting with Baltic expert Mads Michael Hastrup Nilsson.

The Baltic countries are more relevant to us than at any time since World War II. Baltisk Bro has invited Baltic expert, author and tour guide Mads Michael Hastrup Nilsson to talk about his life in Estonia and the Baltic region, from the hopeful 1990s to today’s rearmament.

In addition to his native Danish, Mads Michael speaks Estonian, English, Italian, French, German and Swedish, and can get by in Russian.

He holds a master’s degree in economics with a minor in Russian from Aarhus University and has lived in Estonia since 1996.

Mads Michael is the author of three books: one about Estonia and its history, one about Latvia and its history, and one about the airline Estonian Air, where he was chief financial officer.

Everyone is welcome!
