Stay surrounded by nature at Birkelund, where five holiday apartments are set within 24 hectares of private forest featuring rocky outcrops, small ponds and the Tværmyr swimming lake. The Højlyngsstien trail passes close to the property, while Rø Golf Courses are just across the road, making nature and outdoor activities part of your stay from the moment you step outside.

The five holiday apartments accommodate between two and seven guests and are located side by side, each with a private entrance. All have their own kitchen and bathroom and are furnished with exposed beams, light Scandinavian colours and a simple country style. Dogs are also welcome in several of the apartments.

Forest lake, orangery and outdoor living

At Birkelund, there is plenty of space to enjoy your holiday without necessarily going anywhere. Take a swim in Lake Tværmyr, find a spot beneath the trees, gather the family around the fire pit or enjoy dinner in the orangery.

When darkness falls during the cooler months, the orangery is also an ideal place to admire the night sky. Settle down by the wood-burning stove and look for stars and the Milky Way above the forest.

Direct access to hiking, cycling and golf

Birkelund is well situated for an active holiday. The Højlyngsstien trail and other local hiking and cycling routes are nearby, while golfers will find Rø Golf Courses just across the road.

After a day outdoors, return to the forest, lake and peaceful surroundings of the holiday apartments, whether you are staying for one night or several weeks.
