Join Bornholm Food Tours and experience Bornholm through its food, nature and the people behind the island’s flavours. On the guided tours, you will get closer to Bornholm ingredients, food traditions and producers, with tastings and stories along the way.

The tours come in different formats. You can, for example, join a herb walk and learn about wild plants and how they are used in the kitchen, or take a food tour that visits selected producers and eateries. Depending on the tour, you may encounter everything from smokehouses, cider makers and breweries to sea buckthorn and pasta production, tasting savoury and sweet specialities as well as some of the ingredients that grow wild on Bornholm.

Food, nature and stories

Bornholm Food Tours is run by nature guide Thomas Guldbæk and gastronomic expert Mads Marschall. Thomas Guldbæk leads the tours and shares his knowledge of wild herbs, nature and Bornholm’s food culture, while Mads Marschall helped develop the concept with his gastronomic experience.

This means the tours are about more than tasting. Along the way, you will also hear stories about the ingredients, landscape, food culture and some of the people who produce food and drink on Bornholm.
