When wood takes shape

At Galleri Villa Klint, working with the wood’s natural character is central to the craft. Through turning, sawing, sanding, and precise craftsmanship, objects take shape, with their forms and proportions developing in response to each individual piece of wood.

The selection ranges from functional crafts to jewelry and decorative woodwork. Among other things, you can find classic writing instruments, turned bowls and candleholders, rings, and marquetry brooches in which different types of wood are combined in intricate patterns. An eye for the material’s details and a simple, timeless design language are common to all the work.

The works are made locally on Bornholm, and you can also discuss your own ideas for a personal design. Perhaps you will find a piece of woodcraft for your own home or a gift with a story from Bornholm.
