Experience an eagle taking off from and landing on your glove as a falconer guides you in training and handling it. At Bornholms Rovfugleshow – Dyrenes Oase, you will go behind the scenes in the aviaries and learn about these large birds of prey and the work involved in caring for and training them.
Get up close to the large eagles at Bornholms Rovfugleshow – Dyrenes Oase. Ørnedrømme gives you an insight into the art of falconry and the chance to train and handle an eagle yourself under a falconer's guidance.
Program
Introduction to the eagles
The experience begins with a personal introduction to the art of falconry. You will learn about the eagles' anatomy, training methods, and how to handle these large birds of prey safely.
Behind the scenes
Step inside the aviaries where the eagles live and see how they are prepared for training. Here, you will gain an insight into the daily work with the birds.
Training and hands-on experience
Under the falconer's guidance, you will get to train and handle one of the eagles yourself and experience it taking off from and landing on your glove.
Photos of your experience
Photos will be taken along the way, which you can receive for personal use.
Practical information
- Available to book Monday–Friday, 1:00–2:00 p.m., from October 22 through December 17, 2026.
- Duration: approximately 1 hour.
- Price: DKK 1,550 for 2 people.
- One additional person can be added for DKK 550.
- Minimum age: 15.
- In case of rain, the experience can take place indoors.
