A year in Bornholm’s archaeology: 2026

Jens Berthold, Chief Archaeologist at Bornholms Museum, reviews the museum’s extensive archaeological work over the past year. It was a year marked by the enormous undertaking in the Energy Island area, as well as exciting new finds from Sorte Muld and other long-established sites. As usual, there were also hidden treasures in the plow furrows for the island’s metal-detecting enthusiasts to discover on their searches.

Bornholms Museum is hosting the lecture in collaboration with Bornholms Folkeuniversitet.
