When Bornholm becomes a skiing island

Bornholm may be best known for summer, rocky cliffs, and beaches – but when snow falls on the island, a very different experience awaits in the heart of Almindingen. Here you can strap on your skis and glide down Bornholm's own ski slope among the forest's winter-clad trees.

The slope has a ski lift, so you can enjoy the run again and again, and there is a children's slope where the youngest skiers can take things a little more slowly. A winter day in Almindingen can suddenly become a day of rosy cheeks, snow beneath your skis, and perhaps a Bornholm experience you never expected to have.

The Bornholms Skivenner association maintains the ski slope and trails in Almindingen, but of course Bornholm's winter weather determines when skiing is possible.
