Route description
The tour starts from the small fishing village of Melsted south of Gudhjem and climbs from here upwards into the landscape along a good cycle path along the Kobbeådalen. Close to the cycle path you will find the 8-meter-high Stavehøl Waterfall. Go by Østerlars Rundkirke, which is Bornholm’s and Denmark’s largest and oldest round church.
From Østerlars, the route heads towards Bornholm’s largest forest, Almindingen. Here the route follows a series of smaller forest roads, from where you can easily take detours to all the experiences of Almindingen – from bison and trotting horses to rocking stone and Ekkodalen – before the tour ends in Aakirkeby.
