Moseløkken is also one of the few granite quarries on the island where work still occasionally takes place, making the experience even more authentic and unique.

Try working with granite yourself

At the museum, visitors can try carving granite themselves and experience how quarry work was carried out in earlier times. In the old stonecutters’ sheds, craftsmen demonstrate traditional techniques and tools, while the restored stone crane outside offers a fascinating glimpse into historical working methods.

Inside Moseløkkehus, exhibitions explore Bornholm’s geology, granite types, the stone industry and everyday life for quarry workers. Visitors can also discover old tools, sculptures and models telling the story of Bornholm’s granite industry through the years.
