At NaturBornholm, exciting experiences await the whole family with dinosaurs, earthquakes, live animals and fascinating stories about Bornholm’s natural history through millions of years. The popular experience centre combines learning, play and science through indoor and outdoor activities for both children and adults.
Inside, visitors can explore dinosaurs, crocodiles, a Baltic Sea aquarium, a bison exhibition and live animals from Bornholm’s nature. Here, you can encounter fish, vipers, frogs and lizards that live on Bornholm and in the surrounding sea.
Travel back in time with dinosaurs and earthquakes
The visit begins in NaturBornholm’s popular cinema “The Time Machine”, where visitors travel millions of years back in time. Experience earthquakes, meet dinosaurs and get an exciting introduction to Bornholm’s dramatic natural history before continuing through the exhibitions.
NaturBornholm turns science into an experience filled with storytelling, hands-on activities and sensory experiences that make learning about nature fun for both children and adults.
Family experiences indoors and outdoors
Outside, the adventures continue with dinosaur models, a playground, fossil hunting and a large electric car track for children. The surrounding landscape also invites visitors to enjoy peaceful walks in nature, where maps or GPS devices can be borrowed to explore the area around NaturBornholm.
During weekends, holidays and school breaks, NaturBornholm offers extra activities for children and families. In the summer holidays, visitors can also join guided tours to experience bison, bats, fossil hunting and other exciting nature experiences on Bornholm.
The centre also features a café and shop, perfect for taking a relaxing break between the day’s many adventures.
