Philosophy & Humanity – Autumn 2026

Bornholm Folk University invites you to the lecture series “What kind of world do we live in? – What do the philosophers say?” Over nine evenings, classical philosophy is brought into dialogue with current questions about society, technology, values and views of humanity.

The lectures offer different philosophical perspectives on topics such as the Enlightenment, gender, the public sphere, artificial intelligence, global inequality, meaning and the role of the individual in a changing world. The series is open to anyone interested in philosophy and society; no prior knowledge is required.

The individual lectures are presented by experienced teachers and researchers, primarily affiliated with Danish universities. The events take place in the meeting room at Rønne Library. Tickets are available for the full lecture series or for individual lectures.
